started a discord an NFT project with - @scchang_cat - @PhattyPhresh 1 wk later, we have 13 friends, talking about anime and art some might say "small fry".. i say "333% growth" humble beginnings... one step at a time, but soon....

Finally decided to make my own NFT project. Teamed up with a couple of friends, started a discord server, and now we’re off to the races figuring out the art and the code.

Here’s a demo to showcase how the art generation works (note — this is NOT our final Chibi Shinobis product, we used scratch-art to test out the generation script):

What’s super fun about this project is that Catherine and I have been super into anime ever since the pandemic lockdown started. We watched Attack on Titan every day, noting down super small details from each episode and trying to argue our own hypotheses of what would happen to the characters.

This NFT project and discord group is small so far, but it’s already bringing together a lot of our existing friend groups who may not be super into NFTs or crypto, but ARE curious about it, and definitely have opinions about various manga stories and anime shows they’ve watched in the past. This NFT project becomes a medium for our community to take form.
