Happy (early) Lunar New Year :)
I spent the weekend in Cottonwood with Catherine’s family. Super nice, relaxing time, away from high-speed internet. We picked some radishes and celebrated a 6-year old’s birthday party at a trampoline bounce house.

LooksRare is the latest and greatest NFT trading platform that made waves for offering an airdrop to all existing NFT traders. The innovation on this platform was that you could stake your $LOOKS token to earn a portion of the fees generated from people trading on the market. Apparently this mechanism has led to some twisted outcomes..

big moves for 0x to be stepping into the NFT space and making it easier for people to swap/trade NFTs.. I wonder what new projects are enabled as a result of this new infrastructure
huge
If you missed this session from MyBFF, you have to put some time on the calendar and GO WATCH IT. It’s such a great explainer for crypto/web3 things, and has an amazing line up of female and non-binary speakers. Also shoutout to my coworker Elan Halpern for demystifying blockchain fundamentals in her segment!!
Something Interesting..
Over the weekend I helped a school teacher onboard into the NFT world. Helped her set up an NFT wallet, show her how to upload art onto OpenSea to mint her first NFT. She wants to get her kindergarden class to collaborate on a piece of digital art together, and then mint that art as an NFT, and then auction it off at the upcoming school fundraiser.
The most amazing part is how committed she is to this idea. I may have to follow-up in a few weeks an make a video about this incredible story. She even reached out to TokenFrame, a physical NFT display frame company, for some help, and they ended up shipping her a 32” frame ($1,000+ retail value) as a donation to help her with this project!
What an amazing time we live in.
That’s it for this week! I know it’s a bit late and it’s short but it is what it is. Gotta keep goin!!
Albert, these write-ups are great! There is real value in what you're contributing. Thank you!
